Quality of care

The quality of care has our constant attentionThe NPI is constantly and systematically working on improving care. We do this, among other things, by asking client experiences, measuring the results of our treatments and conducting scientific research. We work according to national standards and guidelines.

CQI and Zorgkaart Nederland

Treatment satisfaction

The opinions and wishes of our clients are very important to us. We use various questionnaires to try to find out what their experience with the NPI is. At the end of the treatment, all clients are sent an important questionnaire. We call this the Consumer Quality Index (CQi). This is a questionnaire with which we can measure the experience of clients. This is how we find out how we can make our care even better. NPI scored an average grade of 8.3 on the CQi in 2024.

On Zorgkaart Nederland you can let us know how you experienced the treatment at the NPI. This platform is independent and your review is anonymous.

Mirror conversations

We also hold mirror discussions to find out how clients experience our care. These are conversations in which the treatment team listens in when clients and loved ones share their experiences about the treatment. A mirror conversation is supervised by an independent discussion leader. We try to improve our care with the results of these conversations.

HKZ quality mark

The NPI is HKZ certified. The HKZ quality mark (Harmonisation of Quality Assessment in the Healthcare Sector) is independent and reliable. It means that an organization has its internal affairs in order, puts the client first and can present reliable results. The quality mark also means that an organization meets the requirements set by the sector itself, by financiers, clients and the government.

More information about this certification can be found on www.hkz.nl.

Measure results regularly

We would like to know what your goals are and whether our treatment helps. We investigate this at various points in the treatment process. We do this with questionnaires: the ROM (Routine Outcome Measurement). Together with your practitioner, the course of the treatment is regularly evaluated and the results of these questionnaires are also used. With the results of these questionnaires, we know whether your goals have been achieved and whether the treatment is effective.

Quality statute

A quality statute contributes to ensuring that the right help, in the right place, is provided by the right healthcare professionals. The quality statute of the NPI, part of Arkin, has been drawn up on the basis of national guidelines from the National Health Care Institute. You can view Arkin's quality statute here.

Growing up safely

A child needs a safe environment to develop properly. In a safe environment, no violence is used and a child is well cared for. We look at the safety of children as standard. If we are concerned about the safety of your child, we will discuss this with you and look for a solution together. Working on safety at home can be part of the treatment plan.

We are bound by the urban Child Abuse Protocol and the national Domestic Violence and Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Reporting Code. In accordance with the laws and regulations, we report (a suspicion of) domestic violence or child abuse to the AMK (Advice and Reporting Centre for Child Abuse). You can download the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Reporting Code here.
