Online treatment

NPI online offers an opportunity to follow schema therapy from your own environment through online treatment for personality disorder. This allows you to follow online therapy in an environment that is pleasant and comfortable for you. In addition, you save travel time. NPI online provides schema therapy in Dutch or in English, individually or in the short-term group. Online therapy has come at a rapid pace due to the corona pandemic. The first scientific studies into its effectiveness are promising. NPI Online is part of the NPI where we treat personality problems.

Condition for participation in online treatment for personality problems
It is important that you have a space in which you can talk quietly and undisturbed, without others possibly being able to hear it. If you can sometimes get into a crisis, online therapy is not a good idea. In crisis, it is good to see each other in real life. Sometimes there are other reasons individually why online therapy does not work. You can look at this in consultation with your intaker.

Online treatment for personality disorder
NPI online offers individual schema therapy (25 to 50 sessions) in English and Dutch. Read a further explanation about individual schema therapy here . In addition, the short-term group (20 sessions) is offered online, also in English and Dutch. You can read more about that here .

Costs
If you are insured in the Netherlands, your treatment at the NPI will be reimbursed under the Health Insurance Act. The NPI is a specialist mental health institution, which means that the treatments are part of the basic insurance and are reimbursed by the health insurers. However, the deductible does apply to treatment in specialist mental health care. Your policy conditions describe exactly what reimbursement you are eligible for. In some cases, your insurer may report that there is no contract with the NPI. However, the NPI is part of Arkin and there is a contract with Arkin. The care provided by the NPI is reimbursed through this contract.

Contact and registration
You can register for an intake at the NPI with a referral letter signed by the general practitioner or medical specialist. More information about this can be found on our website. If you are already being treated at another Arkin specialty, your practitioner can register you for an intake.
